We have moved into our new space at Trent University effective January 2024! Lots of exciting things to come. Stay tuned.

The focus of my program of research is to better understand the complex factors that influence the introduction, spread, and control of infectious diseases in different populations so that we can support evidence-based decision making regarding optimal prevention and control strategies that minimize morbidity, mortality, and economic disruption.

My team is now based in the Department of Biology at Trent University but that does not mean that we only study animal disease dynamics. My team works on projects that focus on both human and animal health related research questions. We also engage in projects that specifically focus on disease dynamics at the human-animal-environment interface using a One Health Approach.

Team photo from before the pandemic.

Group photo from our team dinner to welcome our new incoming graduate students (Lindsay and Thivya) in September 2019. We have not had the chance to have a team wide indoor party since the pandemic began. We forgot to take an updated photo at our last pandemic tailgating party in the OVC parking lot so this one will have to do.
